Mar Con is excited to showcase our recent transformation of the Senior Center in downtown Oakland, a project designed to enhance the quality of life for the community’s seniors. This extensive renovation for the City of Oakland included a variety of upgrades, such as brand-new flooring and modern lighting that together created a brighter, more welcoming environment. A key highlight was the installation of an ADA-compliant bar at the canteen, ensuring that all patrons can enjoy the facilities with ease. The offices received a revitalizing update, while restrooms were completely renovated with new partitions, fixtures, and accessories to enhance comfort and accessibility.

In addition to these aesthetic enhancements, the renovation addressed critical infrastructure improvements. We installed a new sewer drain to streamline waste management and upgraded the air conditioning systems for improved climate control. The project also featured comprehensive AC paving, which added both functionality and visual appeal. Fire safety was a priority throughout the renovation, with a new fire alarm system and upgraded fire sprinklers ensuring compliance with safety standards. Furthermore, repainting and striping of key areas enhanced safety and navigation, while a new concrete walkway was constructed to provide a welcoming entrance for visitors. This thorough renovation not only revitalized the Senior Center but also ensures it continues to meet the evolving needs of the community for years to come
